Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a company-wide risk management program, working to reduce risk exposure and mitigate risk.
- Establish a working relationship with external service providers including insurance brokers, underwriters, attorneys, TPAs, and medical providers.
- Oversee non-benefit company insurance claims.
- Primary person in renewing and maintaining commercial insurance policies, including General Liability, Property, Auto, and Work Comp.
- Work closely with Safety, Compliance, Operations, and Facilities to mitigate risk.
- Coordinate with the TPA and others on claims. This would include internal (operations, subject matter experts) and external (legal, medical, accident reconstructionist, C & O) resources.
- Work with both internal and external resources on M & A.
- Periodically review external service providers – TPA, Insurance Broker, C & O, and Medical experts.
- Understand and have a working knowledge of corporate risk management, particularly insurance policies and underwriting.
- Excellent communication and working relationship skills with internal personnel and external resources/clients/customers/vendors.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Multiple years of risk management experience, preferably as a department of one.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
