Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD (2D) and Autodesk Inventor, with experience in creating detailed designs and assemblies. Marine experience is a plus, but not required. Knowledge of FEA is also a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop components, assemblies, and systems using AutoCAD (2D) and Autodesk Inventor.
• Create accurate 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
• Perform design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to optimize designs for production.
• Maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
• Support prototype builds and assist in troubleshooting design issues.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity (FEA experience is a plus).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in design engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Marine experience is a plus.
• FEA experience is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
