Forest River, Inc., the Nation’s largest manufacturer of Recreational Vehicles, Cargo Trailers, Transit Buses and Boats has an immediate opening for a Director of Tax.

Responsibilities

• Overall Federal, State, and Local Tax Compliance, including continuing education necessary to ensure that the Company remains up to date with changing tax laws and regulations
• Maintaining communications with our parent company to ensure that our tax procedures and filings are consistent and adhere to their consolidated tax return(s).
• Working with our third party tax preparers to ensure that outsourced returns are completed and accurate.
• Regularly researching State and Local tax compliances issues that may arise.
• Serving as the key contact for Federal, State, and Local tax audits that the Company may be selected to be part of.
• Researching ways to reduce tax risk for the Company and it’s operating units
• Leading tax due diligence for acquisition opportunities that the Company will regularly evaluate.
• Proactively researching Federal, State, and Local tax opportunities that may benefit the Company.
• Serving as a resource and Subject Matter Expert to the Company’s Chief Executive & Chief Financial Officers regarding tax saving and tax mitigation opportunities that may exist on a Federal, State, and Local level.
• Assisting with the Company’s forecasting process, including forecasting of tax expense and tax savings.
• Participating in the Company’s month end close process as determined necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Holder of either an active or inactive CPA license.
• 10 years of progressive accounting experience with a concentration in tax compliance.
• Proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Excellent written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
